With each choice, new opportunities opened, as well as the chance to have a different destiny than your friends. Those stories were my favorite because it gave you control, freedom, and heightened excitement at the personalized adventure ahead!

Right after you fill out a contact form, I’m reaching out to schedule a Connect Call.

This is a chance for me to get to know you and your partner, and find out what makes you two “you.” What are your favorite past adventures? What’s something new you’d like to try? From locations and activities to booze and grub, we talk about all your preferences and non-negotiables. You have the power to choose your pace, your scene, and your adventure.

Then I use my knowledge, skills, and resources of the area to put together a personalized itinerary of your dream elopement day! No pressure on you to research, plan, or make it perfect.

I’ll come up with a few timelines that mesh well logistically, then go over them with you after you book.

Now the excitement really begins: You choose your own adventure storyline!

Back-Up Adventures, Just in Case

When we chat on our Connect Call, I’m not just gathering intel on your singular, perfect elopement day.

I’m forming multiple backup plans in the background, each with activities and timelines that still match your preferences, just in case there’s a hiccup in Plan A. Or even Plan B. Done hiking earlier than expected? Maybe we take extra time chilling by the lake. Want to stay and watch the sunset? Maybe we skip the brewery and have tailgate beers instead.

Like a choose-your-own adventure, there are options and flexibility!

While not every situation can accommodate immediate pivots, I aim to think inside and outside of the box to create all possible scenarios. But I also want to limit that dang decision paralysis.

But, “What if?”

Alright let’s be real about this: the “what ifs” in life can severely hinder us and rob us of joy. So while choosing your own adventure might sound glamorous for several reasons, it’s important to keep reality in check that not everything will go according to plan and by no means perfect.

There could be unexpected events, like:

Rain
Trail closures
Transportation breakdowns
Crazy tourists

Also, despite packing in as much (or as little!) as you’d like on your elopement day, you won’t be able to experience absolutely everything. I know, wouldn’t that be great if we could? But as someone who has struggled with the “what ifs” in life, one of my main goals is to prevent information overload and decision paralysis. I will have Plans A, B, C, and maybe more in my back pocket, but this doesn’t mean I’m sharing all of those plans with you.

Let me explain.

During our Connect Call, I’m listening to what matters most to you. Certainly I’ll take into account the smaller things as well, but my Plan A itinerary is built specifically for you, and will have as many of the “mosts” that we can manage.

Plan B and C will be secret backups that I refer to in case Plan A has a hiccup in the moment, like

Severe weather that puts us in a brewery instead
A tree falling across the trail that causes us to switch hikes
You’re both actually feeling more energized than expected and want to keep hiking!

So you can absolutely choose a new part of the adventure in these unexpected moments, but the main storyline stays. This way, you stay connected to the present moment and don’t worry about any “what-ifs” as you explore throughout your day!

This is my reassurance that you don’t need to worry about the “what ifs”, because I prepare your elopement for hiccups, pivots, and sudden changes.

You don’t need to come up with backup plans, because I’ll have several packed.

And you don’t need to re-think your choose-your-own-adventure because the one you’re on in the moment is the one meant especially for you.

No one else will have the same day you will. But the coolest part is that everyone can read the highlights of your unique story in the epic photos we capture!
